Screen Lock during Video Playback

Use Case Scenario

Sarah is a 28-year-old avid movie and TV series enthusiast. She uses the MX Player app to stream and watch her favourite content on her smartphone. While watching the latest episode of her favourite TV series, she’s lying down on her bed, holding her phone in her hand, and enjoying the show. However, as she gets deeper into the plot, she realises that she keeps accidentally touching the screen, causing the video to pause or skip ahead.

Her viewing experience is being disrupted due to unintended screen touches, leading to frustration and a loss of immersion in the content.

Sarah decides to use the MX Player Screen Lock feature to address this issue. Here’s how she does it:

1. While the video is playing, Sarah taps the screen to reveal the playback controls.
2. She notices a button with a padlock among the controls.
3. Sarah taps the padlock button, and all controls disappear leaving behind just the small padlock icon to indicate that the screen is now locked.
4. With the screen locked, Sarah can continue watching the video without worrying about accidental touches affecting the playback.
5. To unlock the screen, she can simply tap the padlock icon again, and the playback controls reappear.
