Belated Women’s Day with a twist!
I have always strongly believed in feng shui, astrology, tarrot reading ….you name it and I am in. My office hosted one such event today and it was obvious that I wanted to get my face “read”.
My enthusiam was fulfilled when I dashed to the face reading room irrespective of who’s turn it was because i knew that i lacked the patience to wait for my turn on this one! The first thing i noticed was how light hearted and casual the whole experience was unlike the one that i had imagined. This guy’s first question to me was ” aapko hindi samaj mei aata hai na?”…that was expected but i was so keen on the actual thing that i forgot to laugh. He was shorter to me and told me things that i agreed to a great extend, but my ears froze when I entered the room again a little later only to discover that he was narrating the exact scripts of “my” face reading to my colleague too.
I was happy when my session was over even if his prediction of my past was totally incorrect when he said ” you have been on your own since 18 years of age”, and i say to myself ”what rubbish? its been only 3 years since i am away from my folks and it would imply that i am only 21 now…hah!
Guys in my office did not get chairs to sit for lunch because the ladies were getting their nail-art done! Clearly they were mad at us…hahaha, but they were not vocal about the same…poor poor guys they are very compromising in my office. They deserve Men’s day…..nah not really , it doesn’t sound good enough.
