A beautifully executed piece of modern big room trance. Got me falling in love with it within the first listen – you trance lovers know what I mean?

Been a fan of Julie since "Slow It Down" back in 2005, but she never really released anything after that. Would it do justice to say that I waited 7 years for her to entertain our ears again with her soulful vocals? Listen to this tune and you will humbly agree with me!

Lyrics:

Don’t go changing,
You are perfect as you are,
In all this darkness,
You are still the brightest star…

If you falter,
I will be there when you call,
When you need me,
I will catch you if you fall…

Never fear,
I will always be here,
For you…

Right out of the blue, you’re met with this mesmerising and deeply melodic track that’s literally beautiful. Usually tunes don’t start off that strong, and when they do, I pay attention, because it has classic potential. Flows really well and the production quality is more than adequate. Ingenuous purist melodic trance at its best!

"He torments you with disease, injury, psychological abuse, and discrimination, despite having the power to make it all go away. He demands constant worship and an excruciatingly close reading of a book far less interesting than Moby Dick, Harry Potter, or even One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish. He makes drugs and forbids us from taking them, despite how uninspired this bland planet is for someone with infinite knowledge. Solid liquid and gas? Really? That’s IT!? And only five flavors? FIVE!? Plus a spectrum of light that is primarily invisible, and ears with a pathetic hearing range. Just think of the symphonies that could be enjoyed if we only had a majestic God! But, no, we get a God who makes a universe composed mostly of empty space, and a planet, allegedly made for terrestrial creatures, that’s mostly water. I CALL BULLSHIT! To top it all off, he makes it so that we need to get a shitty job just so we can maintain this shitty existence. And what’s my reward, spending eternity with people who actually think this is a good idea? If that’s heaven, then Satan, whet your pitchfork, my ass is itchy. Let’s get this eternal damnation started already."

"However…"

"If this is all just a cosmic accident, then isn’t it pretty neat? Pain is inevitable, but it’s not so bad with all that laughter, happiness, and occasional interesting news article mixed in. We are free to make whatever purpose in life we choose, whether it be reaching internet fame, or walking on Mars. We have become beings of depth and culture, of sensuality and psychology. There is a vast legacy of art for us to explore and invent. We can experience this universe in five completely unique ways, and can use our ingenuity to expand this experience where our natural senses fail. What’s more, this all arose out of chaos; we have proven tenacious enough to carve out a niche for ourselves in this harsh, but bearable plane. We work and build off of each other and accomplish great awe-inspiring things that cannot be accomplished in solitude. We see the fruits of our labor actualized in our secular works. What’s more, we don’t have time to get bored. This curiosity called "life" is a relatively brief phenomenon; let’s enjoy it while we can!"

This reply was posted by macromidget in response to the question: "If you don’t believe in a God, or any religion for that matter, why the fuck are you still living? If you have nothing to live for, go ahead and end yourself, your just being a waste of space."

The point of the post wasn’t to show that religion is terrible and that atheism is the only valid reason for living. Rather, it was to show that given a cynical enough perspective, one person’s reason for life could be another’s despair, and that atheism does, in fact, offer plenty of reasons for living.

Here's an easy guide on how to implement Offline Caching in 3 simple steps on any website.

I was well aware of the Offline Caching feature introduced in HTML5. Today I decided to actually explore it in detail and this is when I realized its true potential. Not only does Offline Caching helps make certain parts (or all parts) of the website available for offline use, it also very impressively increases the page load time by up to 200%.

After reading this fantastic article (http://diveintohtml5.info/offline.html), I jumped right into implementation mode. And after spending half a day, I was finally able to enable Offline Caching on this website as well as on Trance Hub (http://trancehub.com/).

Here’s an easy guide on how to implement Offline Caching in 3 simple steps on any website:

1. Create a manifest file (which is simply a text file) and rename it to "cache.manifest".
Now reference it to the HTML tag.

<html lang="en" manifest="cache.manifest">

You have complete freedom over naming your manifest file – even the extension. So something such as "example.mf" would work equally well, but I chose to use "cache.manifest"; as the name is easily distinguishable.

2. Next step would be to write instructions in the manifest file.

CACHE MANIFEST
# rev 42

CACHE:
/about.htm
/clock.css
/clock.js
/clock-face.jpg

NETWORK:
*

The "CACHE:" section denotes all the files that you want the browser to cache, whereas the "NETWORK:" section denotes all files that explicitly require internet access. There’s one more section titled "FALLBACK:" which lets you define a fallback resource in case the one your website uses is not available.

3. Finally, the third most important part is to define the MIME-TYPE in the .HTACCESS file.

AddType text/cache-manifest .appcache
<files cache.manifest>
ExpiresActive On
ExpiresDefault "access"
</files>

The first line defines the manifest file for the server, while the next 3 lines make sure that the server does not provide cached versions of the manifest file. Without this, the server would not know if you make changes to the manifest file and would provide the user with a cached version.

That’s it, you should now be able to experience blazing fast page loads and you can even try unplugging your internet connection to browse the website offline.

Important points to note:

- The browser will include any page with the manifest file (referenced in the HTML tag) to its cache. You do not need to separately specify each page in the manifest file.

- Make sure any of the resources specified in the manifest file do not trigger a 404 error, otherwise the browser will simply fail to cache all of the resources. (This took most of my time to figure out)

- Anything after the "#" will be ignored by the browser. Use it for commenting.

- The manifest file will not update any resources by default. You need to make changes to the manifest file to trigger the change. A good way to achieve that is by maintaining revisions in a comment. This is especially useful if you need to replace an image file or maybe the style sheet, etc.

I’m truly surprised why HTML5 is all over the web yet this specific feature is still so underrated. Feel free to drop in your comments and correct me if I went wrong somewhere. (Please note that this article was written with an assumption that most of you use Apache servers.)

It’s time for the winters and it’s time to spread the festive joy. Christmas is around the corner and it has become a trend to decorate websites with these festive elements. Well, Asen doesn’t intend to stay behind on this one. So I did my part and added this little extra Christmas element to her blog.
I’ve been using Winamp for all my audio needs since the early 2000s. And I’m STILL using it after a decade. You ask me why?

1. First and foremost, the ability to smooth fade is what makes Winamp absolutely the best media player on the web. Okay, before you start pouncing by claiming "My beautiful iTunes in my orgasmic Mac does the same", I’d like you to STFU and let me complete my point. I’m not talking about cross-fading here. I’m talking about the fade transitions when you pause, play and move to the next/previous track. This tiny little smart feature simply takes your audio listening experience to a whole new level. Give it a try!

2. Winamp has this superb awesome out-of-the-world plugin called "Visualize Me". If you use Winamp and you haven’t installed this, then please switch to your boring iTunes, because you DO NOT deserve to use Winamp. In simple words, Winamp is incomplete without this hot little plugin. Go here and download it right away: http://www.winamp.com/visualization/visualize-her/146758

ASOT 182 is one of my favourite episodes of the #1 globally-listened-to radio show. And track #9 happens to always bring up a smile on my face whenever I hear it. The track is like love at first sight – so beautiful and so amorous, you can actually make love to it, LOL!

But on a serious note, you can actually make out the amount of passion and dedication Mr. Otten put into crafting this spectacular wonder. I’m sure he knew this was going to be a classic and would eventually define the twinkling-synth breed of progressive music. Hail the Dutch!

Lyrics:

Feel the rumble from the skies,
See the dawn rise through the night,
New beginning,
Empty out your history,
Let it sit, oh let it be,
New beginning…

So here we stand,
Let us walk our lives, walk them through the sand,
So here we stand,
Let us walk our lives, walk them through the sand…

What will come cannot be seen,
But what I know is I’ll be free, yeah I’ll be free,
And what was done now it is through,
Welcome time to spend with you,
With you…

A very interesting insight into the initial phase of relationships...

A very interesting insight into the initial phase of relationships:

Studies by David Buss showed that when couples are in the falling-in-love phase, men’s testosterone levels decrease and their oxytocin levels rise to make the bonding process quicker. This makes men softer, gentler, and more easygoing. At the same time, women’s testosterone levels rise with the excitement and confidence they feel at the start of a new relationship. This increased testosterone makes women hornier, giving the couple the illusion that male and female sex drives must be the same. When this "shagathon" period ends, about three to nine months into a new relationship, their sex drives return to the "default position", leaving a man with the idea that she’s gone off sex and giving her the impression that he’s a sex maniac. Many relationships end at this point.

This being just the tip of the iceberg, there’s an entire treasure of knowledge to be discovered in this book titled ‘Why Men Want Sex And Women Need Love‘ by acclaimed authors Barbara & Allan Pease.

Simply the most intense tune ever – this shit instantly blew my mind when I first heard it on Durand’s radio show. I can guarantee that once you start listening, you’ll easily point out that this is nothing short of an anthem! The synth line and Aneym’s vocals are light years away from any tune recently released! And it’s always a blast to listen to this.

I myself could relate a lot to the wonderful lyrics in here. Aneym truly touches your heart.

Anjunabeats released a video of the Original Mix which can be played below.

Click here to watch the video!

Lyrics:

I’m ready to leave it all behind,
Your love works wonders, the ruler of my heart,
I let go of my ego, just like you said,
I come into being hopeful again…

You open my eyes and carry me,
I don’t hold on to limiting beliefs,
I give up all my wealth, just like you said,
I won’t keep you waiting, I’m on my way…

Follow you, I will do, I will follow you,
Follow you, I will do, I will follow you,
Follow you, I will do, I will follow you,
Life is pointless when you’re not here by my side…
