Times Of India press ads for Coral Hub

Series of press ads for Coral Hub in the Times Of India.

These advertisements feature products such as an MP3 Player with card slot, a Formal Shirt + Chrono Watch combo deal, a Rechargeable Shaver, a Dual-time Thundershock Chrono Watch, a Car Vacuum Cleaner, a Real Diamond Pendant, an MP3 Player with built-in speaker & card slot and a 24 Piece toolkit.

I’m not from the print industry so understanding the medium was quite a heavy ride. Various colour combinations were tried before finalizing on to this one. The output was a very neat and structured ad which didn’t have to make use of striking colours to grab reader attention. Quality of the images played an important role here.

well, the colors, font and layout were good- i’m talking about the blue and red one. attention grabbing without resorting to cheap tricks- like huge yellow fonts, every square inch of the ad painted in gawdy colors etc. the good image quality did make a difference.

btw..i saw another ad with an orange-yellow layout- it didn’t seem to be as neat as the blue one IMHO.

as an aside: the ad i saw was advertising a car vacuum and a watch. the car-vacuum seemed interesting, especially for a price of 399 or something. i’m not so sure about the watch. an ordinary watch for rs.600 is not something i’d exactly call interesting. how about something like say the e-cigarette instead- now that’s an interesting product (if the prohibition on cig ads in the media don’t include e-cigs too), or maybe those cheap touch-phones ( touch-phones must surely be in vogue, courtesy apple, but apple etc are generally affordable by maybe 10% of the universe of potential touchphone buyers. And I’ve seen far too many cheap phones being advertised, but very few of them were touchphones) etc etc..you get the idea…
