A trip through 2008

A trip through 2008 Okay, now let me put this straight. I haven’t posted an entry here in ages and now all of sudden I return with a post summing up how wonderful 2008 has been for me. In case you noticed, I’m rather late even for this particlar post. But anyway, things have been keeping me real busy lately and hence the delays. Let’s get onto the highlights, shall we?

January:

Our office landed in Goa for a national conference in the chilly winters of Jan. The 2 nights that we were residents of the Taj were worth remembering. One night at the beach and the other at a club. More than the places, it were the people that made it all the more enjoyable and unforgettable. Yes, I sometimes still glance through those crazy images! :D

April:

My best investment till date has to be the uber cool sedan – Chevrolet Aveo (more here…). People ask me how do I manage to keep my cool for up to 2 hours in the non-stop traffic with all those jackass tourist vehicles, taxis and ricks cutting past you like highly excited blokes getting blowjobs by Pamela Anderson on their driver seats? Well, now they know how it’s all worth it – the daily 2 hour drive to office and back! :)

July:

A nice promotion and a good hike. Years later, this might probably be regarded as one of the most important stepping stones in my career.

September:

I turned 23 on the 7th. Had a nice little birthday party with close friends. (Read more…)

September:

Tiësto unleashed his massive ‘ISOS 7: Asia‘. I can confidently term this as the best release this year especially CD-1.

October:

One word to describe the Ganpatipule trip would be "heavenly". The trip was indeed a fantastic one and the kind that will linger in my memory forever (I guess). But yes, the best moment of the trip was the night when we were having a small picnic on the empty beach all by ourselves with no one to bother us and only the moonlight guiding us. A couple of tequila shots and some fantastic starters, and I was almost there!

October:

Since childhood, I have always been intruiged by the big screen high definition television sets seen in most sci-fi flicks. I always wondered if I would ever own one of those babies. And with the Scarlet, my dream moulded into a reality. (Read more…)

October:

Trance Hub finally saw its dream by video interviewing super star DJ Andy Moor. With this step, I can already see loads of BIG things happening for us in the near future. So stay tuned.

December:

Every year I wait for ‘A State Of Trance Year Mix‘ in which Armin displays his flawless mixing skills and takes us on a trip through the best tunes of the entire year. It all started in 2005 and here we are with the 4th edition in 2008. 2 CDs packed with 80 tunes mixed and remixed one over the other – what more do you need? This is all I can remember as of now. And yes, I’m making a committment to update this blog more frequently now. Loads of terrific stuff expected to happen this year. Wish you all a fantastic New Year!!! :D
